Job Description

Summary

This position focuses on the translational and correlative science of a novel T cell therapy clinical trial in the Hoyos Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine. The Postdoctoral Associate will design and execute laboratory studies using blood and tumor tissue samples obtained from patients enrolled in the trial to characterize immunological responses to treatment and evaluate effects on the tumor microenvironment. The position requires close coordination with the GMP facility and the clinical research team to ensure timely sample collection and processing. Job Duties

  • Coordinates with the GMP facility and clinical research coordinator to obtain and process peripheral blood and tissue samples from patients enrolled in the T cell therapy clinical trial, following established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Designs and performs immunological assays including flow cytometry, single-cell analysis, and functional T cell assays to characterize patient responses to treatment.
  • Conducts correlative studies to assess the effects of the T cell therapy on other immune cell populations and the tumor microenvironment.
  • Analyzes and interprets experimental data and contributes to manuscript preparation and presentation of findings at scientific meetings.
  • Maintains detailed and accurate laboratory records in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.
