People seek guidance from a Registered Dietitian (RD) for many reasons, whether tomaximize wellness,learnhealthier eatinghabitsordecrease the risk of chronic diseases.No matter the reason,you willhelpthese patientsdevelop personal diet plans to achieve their goals.

This is a PRN role. A caregiver in this position works as needed between 8:00am and 4:30pm. This is a submarket role, providing float coverage throughout our eastern Cleveland Clinic facilities – Hillcrest, Euclid, Marymount and South Pointe.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy,educationand counseling to patients.

• Implement nutritional care plans, communicate plans,establisha follow-upsystemandmaintaindocumentation.

• Write changes for diet orders,initiatenutrient intake assessments, assess patients for nutritional deficiencies, evaluate fluids andelectrolytesandreview laboratory and clinical progress notes.

• Inform physicians of patientnutritional status andneed for diet changes.

• Create and revise education materials,participatein program development and develop,implementand market services.

• Support the dietetic internship program as a supervised practice rotation preceptor and class instructor.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor’sDegree inNutrition,Dieteticsor a related field

• Currentlicensure as aLicensed Dietitian (LD)

• Active certification as a RegisteredDietitian(RD)

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian inClinicalNutrition OR successful completion of CCF Dietetic Internship Program

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to navigate extensively to provide services to a large number of patients throughout the hospital and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer entry.
• Must have physical ability to measure and weigh patients.
