Bidder Eligibility:

This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for a one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.

Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.

This job posting is at the Member and Senior levels and promotions are permitted on this requisition. Therefore, movement to a higher career level within the same FLSA status, a change in FLSA status (non-exempt to exempt), or movement to a position with a higher market band is allowed.

Employees, excluding student interns, must remain in their current position for one year from their hire date before bidding on a new job. However, the hiring manager may obtain approval to consider a candidate before the one-year requirement is met via the review process. This approval must be secured prior to being interviewed for a posted position. The application of this requirement will not supersede collective bargaining agreements. Please refer to the collective bargaining labor agreements for eligibility requirements for represented bidders.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking an HR Operations Generalist to join the HR Solutions Customer Service Team. This position is responsible for providing front-line customer service and support to employees (active and inactive), managers, and company vendors for questions, issues, and problems related to HR. The HR Operations Generalist will perform administrative, transactional, and data/records management activities in support of HR functions, ensuring HR service delivery is consistently high-quality.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent customer service. Responds to both phone and online inquiries from employees and managers at all levels and resolves questions/issues by accessing information in multiple systems on the computer.
  • Escalates complex HR inquires to HR Operations Specialist and provides necessary documentation to support requests; Routes/refers calls for advanced support and follows up as required.
  • Handles requests for administrative tasks and inquiries. Processes transactions by collecting required information or back-up documentation from employee/manager/HR, including probing for additional information if unclear, performing data entry, sending requested documents, etc.
  • Performs transaction processing in support of HR functions, including data entry, filing, sending correspondence, etc.
  • Provides help navigating internal resources on self-service and HR technology tools. Responds to electronic employee requests for HR tool support and guidance on reports.
  • Manages workload efficiently to fulfill commitments in a timely manner.
  • Liaise between HR Operations, HR vendors, and other Centers of Expertise, as appropriate.
  • Performs required tasks in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs).

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Salary Range:

$41,900 - $76,200

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • High School diploma
  • Experience working in Human Resources or in a service center environment
  • Strong computer skills and technical capabilities, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Oracle Service Cloud, and Peoplesoft
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOE - L clearance

HR Solutions Customer Service is responsible for providing front-line customer service and support to employees (active and inactive), managers, and company vendors for questions, issues, and problems related to HR.

Posting Duration:

Security Clearance:
