Job Description

Summary

The Boeynaems lab studies the molecular mechanisms of human disease, including neurodegeneration and cancer. Our work ranges from biochemical and biophysical methods, to microscopy and cell culture, and in vivo disease modeling. A qualified candidate is highly enthusiastic, a great team player, and has strong prior wet lab experimental skills.

Job Duties

  • Assist others in lab with carrying out microscopy experiments, including immunostaining, confocal microscopy and image data analysis.
  • Maintain human cell lines in cell culture.
  • Perform stock inventory and ordering.
  • Process, stain and image biological samples for 4i immunofluorescence staining and confocal microscopy.
  • Assist in data analysis of imaging data sets using image analysis software.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience with cell culture and general wet lab practices.
  • Experience in 4i immunostaining and confocal microscopy are required.

Work Authorization Requirement:
