MRI Technologist Lead

Our Medical Center in Duarte, CA is seeking a Full-Time MRI Lead to join our Imaging team. Reporting to the Imaging Manager, this leadership role involves both technical expertise and supervisory responsibilities within the MRI department. You'll oversee daily workflow, guide team operations, and ensure consistent Quality Control across all MRI units. This is a key position for someone ready to lead with precision and excellence.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Supervises MRI staff and collaborates with leadership and radiologists to maintain up-to-date protocols and ensure high-quality imaging standards.

  • Manages scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations, and provides training, guidance, and work allocation for MRI personnel.

  • Supports budget planning and ensures departmental operations stay within financial guidelines.

  • Performs diagnostic MRI exams, including patient positioning, history intake, and addressing patient concerns with a focus on safety.

  • Oversees equipment maintenance, quality control, inventory management, and supply ordering to ensure smooth operations.

  • Promotes professional development through ongoing education, and maintains accurate departmental records and reports.

Your qualifications should include:

  • High School or equivalent
  • Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
  • 5 years MRI experience, preferably within a hospital setting
  • Accredited program in Radiological Technology
  • Registered by ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT approved
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $53.50 - $80.25 / hour
