City of Hope Orange County is transforming cancer treatment by bringing world-class expertise and specialized care closer to home. Supported by a regional network of care, our 11-acre academic cancer campus in Irvine is home to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, our outpatient cancer center, and Orange County’s only cancer specialty hospital, opening in late 2025.
With the opening of the hospital, the full continuum of advanced cancer care—from prevention through survivorship—will be available in Orange County for the first time, eliminating the need to travel for lifesaving treatment. Seamlessly connected to our outpatient cancer center, the new clinical research hospital will feature 73 inpatient beds, advanced surgical suites, groundbreaking clinical trials, and holistic services such as rehabilitative therapy and spiritual care. This isn’t standard cancer care. This is lifesaving cancer care. This is Hope.
The Program Manager acts as the facilities expert for management of all facilities compliance for Federal, State, and local authorities at City of Hope. The role will promote, develop, and maintain a compliance program to meet all life and fire safety requirements. In addition, will ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and will support Emergency Management, Environment of Care and Life Safety compliance. The Program Manager plans, develops, coordinates and directs activities to achieve national best practice performance levels and ensures survey readiness at all times.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Lead onsite activities including document review with regulatory bodies and survey teams
- Standardize processes and protocols for all regulatory documentation
- Standardize fire and life safety systems including fire protection, suppression & monitoring
- Ensure existing Fire Protection and Life Safety systems are in proper operating condition, recommends replacement where needed
- Develop and ensure compliance of a Water Management program
- Manage the Air Quality Management program
- Help with compliance training related to Fire and Safety where needed
- Monitor ongoing survey readiness
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s degree (or 10+ years of comparable experience in Facilities Compliance, Fire Safety or other like discipline).
- 5 years or more experience in Facilities Management, Safety or Fire Safety/Protection
- Experience with Joint Commission requirements and standards
- Construction project management background preferred

Salary range $ 81,640 - $126,526

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $39.25 - $60.84 / hour
