Job Description

The Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Poland) launched recruitment on April 28, 2025, for PhD candidates under the Horizon MSCA COFUND program. The initiative, titled "Multilevel Approaches to Understanding Chronic Inflammatory Diseases" (MAP-ID), will encompass 13 research projects. Thirteen positions are available for 13 doctoral candidates, each assigned to one of the projects. The 48-month doctoral program will be based at the Jagiellonian University.
As part of the training, candidates will complete 6- to 9-month research internships at partner universities (9 in Europe, 3 in the USA) and 3-month placements at biotechnology companies (8 in Europe).
Recruitment is conducted via the IRK system and will remain open until June 30, 2025.
Type of employment: Full-time employment contract offering full social security coverage, health and pension benefits, and paid vacation.
Employment duration: 48 months
• First cohort: October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2029
• Second cohort (only if vacancies remain after the first call): March 1, 2026 – January 31, 2030 (Second call opening/closing: September 1, 2025 / November 2, 2025)
Salary: €2,800 gross per month (approximately €1,700 net)
