Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) invites applications for the role of Translational Research Coordinator.

The Translational Research Coordinator at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine provides comprehensive oversight and execution support for research protocols with exceptional accuracy and adherence to project timelines, while ensuring regulatory compliance. They develop and enhance research infrastructure, provide administrative support, manage documentation and databases, and coordinate events to promote collaboration and foster translational research projects. As the primary contact point for program inquiries, they facilitate communication among all stakeholders and develop strategic partnerships. They collect and analyze program data, prepare detailed reports, track key outcomes, recommend program improvements, assist with budget monitoring, and handle special projects to achieve program objectives. This position is located within the new UNR Med Translational Research Center and reports to the Associate Dean, Clinical Research.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of self-management and initiative, including attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Additionally, excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with varying audiences will be critical to success in the role. Proficiency in strategic coordination and program development is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience OR

Master's Degree and one year of related work experience.

Related Experience: Experience in translational or clinical research coordination, experience with research protocols and compliance, or project management in a healthcare setting

Certification: CCRC or ACRP-CP certification or equivalent within three years of hire

Total Compensation

The total compensation package includes a competitive salary, moving allowance (if applicable), a rich retirement plan, health insurance options that include dental and vision, life insurance, thirty (30) days of sick leave provided upon start date and two (2) days of sick leave accrued per full month after the first year of service, two (2) days of annual leave accrued each full month, along with many other benefits.
