Job Description
Part-time, Muncie campus-based, adjunct faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate courses. Work assignments, days, times, and locations vary. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, critical care, childbearing families, and other areas as needed and appropriate. This is not an online/remote position.
The School of Nursing welcomes Master's-prepared RN applicants with clinical experience for part-time, Muncie campus-based, adjunct faculty positions. Work assignments, days, times, and locations vary. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, critical care, childbearing families, and other areas as needed and appropriate. This is not an online/remote position.
Job Function:

Minimum Experience:
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment;
- Clinical nursing experience in area of teaching;
- Ability to communicate effectively; and
- Ability to use and integrate technology in nursing education.
Preferred Experience:
- Teaching experience in higher education;
- Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university;
- Current clinical practice as an NP.
