Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities - 90.00
Be clinically productive through the provision of pediatric general pediatric and developmental-behavioral pediatric services throughout the Children's Hospital of Georgia; Participate in on-call duties; Meet and maintain wRVU productivity targets as set forth by department/division through services provided. Interface with physicians at CHOG and throughout the community, region, and state in order to establish and enhance working relationships and to build referral patterns with Augusta University.
Teaching Responsibilities - 10.00
Participate in mentorship and provide clinical supervision and consultation to residents/medical students/staff at AU and develop a more in-depth educational experience for trainees in general pediatrics and developmental-behavioral pediatrics; Provide training to residents/medical students in general pediatrics and developmental-behavioral pediatrics through didactics; Achieve and maintain teaching scores at or above the department mean.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in an academic medical institution is beneficial for this position.

The Department of Pediatrics, Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia is actively seeking a board certified/board eligible Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric specialist to join as a full-time faculty member. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience.
The position will provide care for the pediatric patient population, as part of the newly established Children's Hospital of Georgia (CHOG) Center for Pediatric Neurodevelopment, Behavioral Health and Wellness with Medical Director, Dr. Jennifer Poon (effective July 1, 2022). The CHOG Center for Pediatric Neurodevelopment, Behavioral Health and Wellness will provide a comprehensive program that promotes wellness and addresses social, emotional, behavioral and developmental concerns in children and adolescents. This includes, but is not limited to: attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, behavioral and developmental challenges due to chronic illnesses (genetic disorders, epilepsy, prematurity, diabetes, asthma, cancer, etc.), developmental delay, habit disorders, learning disabilities, motor skill delays related to other conditions, and vision and hearing impairments. Clinical responsibilities include, but are not limited to: evaluation and treatment for developmental-behavioral health cases, developmental testing, counseling and patient/family education, referral to therapy services for physical, occupational, speech and feeding therapies.
Comprehensive services are provided in the 154 bed Children's Hospital of Georgia with the region's only Level IV NICU and Level 1 PICU We have a comprehensive group of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists serving children and families from across Georgia and we are a key sub specialty referral center for the southeast. The Children's Hospital of Georgia is part of the Augusta University Health System which includes a 478-bed medical center, a Medical Office Building with more than 80 outpatient practice sites in one convenient setting.
Successful candidates will have a proven history of excellent clinical skills, involvement with clinical research, and strong desire to be involved with resident teaching. Additionally, candidates should have an MD/DO degree and be board certified/eligible in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. Educational responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing mentorship, clinical supervision and consultation to residents/medical students/staff at MCG/AU and develop a more in-depth educational experience for trainees in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.

Minimum Requirements
Medical degree from an accredited medical school/university. Board certified/board eligible in Develomental-Behabioral Pediatrics. Must have or eligible for a State of Georgia Medical License; DEA; BLS.
