Summary
The Center for Cell and Gene Therapy is at the forefront of clinical trials aimed at improving treatment options for cancer and other severe illnesses.This position is designed to support the entire research team, so specific prior experience is less critical compared to other coordinator roles. What’s most important for this role are strong teamwork, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Job Duties
The Center for Cell and Gene Therapy is at the forefront of clinical trials aimed at improving for Cell and Gene Therapy is at the forefront of clinical trials aimed at improving treatment options for cancer and other severe illnesses. This role will support our team of research coordinators by performing the following tasks:
- Monitoring and ordering laboratory supplies, including blood collection tubes and other essentials.
- Preparing and sending packages via FedEx and other carriers. Transporting time-sensitive research materials, such as paperwork and blood samples, between our affiliate hospitals and the medical center.
- Conducts interviews, screens, and recruits patients for the study; explains the process and procedures to educate participants about the research study.
- Assisting with the scheduling of research patients for imaging appointments and clinic visits, etc.
- Helping research coordinators organize and archive research charts, regulatory documents and managing the transfer of charts to storage facilities.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. No experience required with preferred degree.
- Science background.
- Experience collecting and processing blood samples.
- Data entry and/or Data Management experience.
