Role Summary
You will enable seamless global operations for PSSM, enhancing connectivity, implementing new opportunities and promotes collaboration within PSSM and with other allied functions.
Provides engagement, collaboration, business support, and project leadership/execution to create and sustain a cohesive PSSM India organization, as part of Strategic Business Solutions team.
You will oversee and manage operational aspects of ongoing improvement projects, acting as a liaison between the project teams and the line management. You will support our programs by managing the review of the status of the project, budget, schedules and preparing status reports. You will assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client satisfactions goals.
As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams.

How You Will Achieve It
Project Planning and Execution
- Plan and execute assigned SBS initiatives, projects etc. at Chennai site.
- Participate as team member, and/or represent Chennai on global projects
- Identify opportunities for improvement of business processes, and lead implementation
- Collaborate with global stakeholders and site PGS function as needed.
- Engage with peers and leaders in Chennai to create cohesive operations for PSSM and IITMRP Site
Compliance
- Provide support for compliance activities at site, as required.
Communication & Talent engagement
- Lead colleague related actions, initiatives (recruitment, engagement, development for PSSM India, supporting functional leaders/managers, and in partnership with PX
- Develop content for communications needs – both internal and external. viz, PowerPoint slide decks, announcements, email comms, letters etc.
- Provide seamless communications support at site, in partnership with PGS team(s) – Communications events, newsletter etc.
- Collaborate with global PSSM leads as required
- Engage with Corporate Communications for external
Financial
- Provide budgeting and expense management support to various PSSM functions. Collaborate with India Finance partner.
Administrative
- Role may require managing administrative activities associated with site operations
Qualifications
Must-Have (Basic qualifications)
- Bachelor degree in any field, with industry experience. Pharma experience desired.
- Minimum 10 years’ work experience in similar roles. Experience working in the research and development and operational environment of pharmaceutical industry desired.
- Demonstrated experience working in multi-disciplinary teams as well as working independently,
- Proven skills in planning and project management; Highly motivated, strong consultative, analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
- Exposure to procurement process.
- Requires excellent English oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Preferred qualifications
- Masters or MBA preferred. Pharma
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, with influencing and negotiating skills, in a matrixed environment.
- Working knowledge of MS Project (or other Project Management software)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, challenging and complex environment.
