Sr. Manager, Launch Excellence
Job Description
[Position Purpose]
- The Launch Excellence Sr. Manager facilitates the successful launch of Pfizer breakthroughs in Japan, through cross-functional and global-local coordination as early as 3 years prior to launch to ensure that necessary steps (i.e., customer engagement, access plans, policy shaping) are taken ahead of time and properly resourced
- This role builds market expertise in launch planning and execution by standardizing & centralizing launch preparation materials and developing to ensure successful future asset launches.
[Responsibilities]
Facilitates the successful launch of Pfizer breakthroughs coordinating the cross-functional teams
- Leads the project management of new product launch preparations and coordinates the cross-functional teams (regulatory, IP legal, supply, marketing, access, public affairs, medical, channel strategy, etc.) as early as 3 years prior to launch to ensure on-time execution.
- Serves as a conduit to a Global Asset Team, led by a Global Launch Operation Lead.
- Collaborates with medical/H&V (O&E, NAAS, and pricing team)/CA in the development of early engagement plans (KOLs, HCPs, PAGs, payers, patients), identification of local data generation needs and full understanding of the patient pathways to optimize and accelerate access.
- Ensures knowledge transfer to respective TA marketing team for smooth transition upon approval of commercialization.
Builds market expertise in launch planning and execution across TAs
- Encourages utilization of global tools, such as Digital Launch Planning Platform (DLPP), and resources by the global teams, to ensure consistent standards for launch preparation across TAs.
- Collects and establishes best practices for launch preparation activities.
- Incorporates and updates new product launch preparation process & governance to ensure standardization and centralization of launch expertise
Supports management of the Launch Excellence Team
- Assists LX Lead to manage LX Team. Educates and coaches additional secondment colleagues.
- Aligns with the global launch teams to exchange best-practices of launch excellence.
- Trains and coaches secondment colleagues from therapeutic areas.
[Desired Skill Set]
Must have Experience and Competency
- Strong and rich experience in Japanese pharmaceutical product launches
- Fall under any of the followings
- Marketing experience as brand manager or above
- Medical experience as medical manager or above
- Projrct management experience in Clinical Development, strategic consultancy - Fluency in both Japanese (native level) and English (business discussion, writing, reading)
