You will be focused on developing robust, scalable, and high productivity cell culture processes for the manufacture of biological therapeutics for early- and late-phase clinical programs. How You Will Achieve It
- Design, plan and execute experiments in shake flasks, bench-top bioreactors, and other appropriate scale-down equipment to optimize and enhance protein production using mammalian expression platforms.
- Assist in the tech transfer of manufacturing processes to pilot, clinical, and commercial facilities. Provide support and troubleshoot during manufacturing campaign as needed.
- Communicate results and findings to stakeholders on a regular basis; presents data/strategy to colleagues and management in internal and external venues (technical meetings, project team meetings, and conferences, etc.) as appropriate.
- Analyze and document experimental data generated and ensure timely documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks and internal technical reports.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues both within the group and cross-functionally; contribute to maintaining and improving upon our safe, effective and efficient lab operations.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Applicant must have Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience, or Master's degree with 0-2 years of experience in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or other related disciplines.
- Relevant research experience in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to grasp scientific concepts, interpret complex data, and formulate new hypothesis.
- Team oriented, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- General knowledge of GLP/GMP practices.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with bioreactor/WAVE systems
- Practical knowledge / direct experience in mammalian cell culture and metabolism is a plus.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Position requires occasional light lifting and periods of standing, sitting or walking.
Well organized and great attention to detail.
Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, or Environment Requirements:
- This role is standard day Monday through Friday work shift; some off-shift weekendsupport needed when issues arise.
- Occasional travel domestically to support technology development and/or clinical manufacturing activities as well as technology transfer to commercial manufacturing.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $64,600.00 to $107,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
