Job Description
Summary
This position is created to assist with the daily operational needs of the Baylor Pathology- West Bellfort lab, and assist with the operational needs of affiliated Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Hospitals, as needed.
Job Duties
- Performs daily quality assurance on patient's demographics.
- Monitors the two LIS for delayed cases on a daily base.
- Assists with the monthly subspecialty schedule.
- Assists with customer relations.
- Checks the fax error log from the day before and ensure that the reports are delivered.
- Requests clinical histories, as requested by the pathologists.
- Assists pathologists with outside ancillary reports.
- Assists pathologists with amendments and addendum reports.
- Performs other tasks, as requested by the manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology in the field of Pathology.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft softwares.
- Previous experience in healthcare, including Anatomical Pathology.
- Previous experience with customer relations.
