Summary
The Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology is seeking a qualified trained surgeon with prior experience in Pediatric Ophthalmology for a clinical faculty position at the Texas Children\'s Hospital in Houston, Texas. This individual will be responsible for seeing patients in a clinic setting as well as performing surgery on these patients.
The ideal candidate will have a United States Medical License or have completed all the United States Medical License Exams prior to starting the position. The recruited individual will be a full-time faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine.
Austin presents a clear and compelling opportunity to extend Texas Children\'s mission to a large and growing population of children and women where there is currently a need for programmatically integrated healthcare. Our Urgent Care opened in March 2018, fourteen pediatric practices currently operate in the Austin area, and our first Specialty Care Center opened in October 2019. The Specialty Care Center is located at 8611 North Mopac Expressway, approximately 10 miles south of the North Austin Campus. The North Austin Campus will provide a full scope of care for both pediatric and women\'s services. Texas Children\'s presence in Austin helps deliver regional coordination of care and is synergistic to the core services offered at our Texas Medical Center campus in Houston.
Minimum Qualifications
M.D. degree.
Successful completion of the ACGME Ophthalmology Residency.
Board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
