Job Description
Summary
Laboratory Assistant will be developing new genetically encoded voltage indicators towards enabling the dissection of neural connections. The assistant will be expected to develop novel molecular tools using molecular biology and imaging methods. Laboratory Assistant must have basic expertise with molecular biology and with visualizing protein 3D structure.
Job Duties

Provides research support.

Works on Clone novel indicators, creates mutant libraries, transfects libraries in mammalian cells, and evaluates the resulting constructs.

Communicates research results.

Prepares weekly reports of research progress for the PI, discusses research results in group meetings.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Six months of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Has basic molecular biology skills.
