What Your Job Will Be Like:

Are you passionate about working in a high functioning and collaborative team in facilities management? We are seeking a Facilities Technologist to perform technical work to support our team!

You will provide schedule development, integration, analysis, monitoring and reporting on the centers execution elements consisting of Maintenance Shops, Service Contracts, and projects (Facilities Express Contracts, Construction Contracting, and A/E Contractors). The selected applicant will also provide timely status information to Facility Portfolio Management Teams, customers, planners, and work execution elements. You will also have the opportunity to provide schedule integration of permits and outages for construction projects and maintenance activities, to include resolving outage scheduling issues.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Use your knowledge and experience in scheduling to support the circuit breaker maintenance team lead and planner in work management activities.
  • Work with the technical leads and maintenance planners to support maintenance schedule development and maintenance work execution.
  • Incorporate resources into the schedules as required and formulate schedule baselines.
  • Publish and update schedules as required and provide detailed analysis and reporting of the centers work status.
  • Support maintenance planners by doing field walks, material take offs, measurements, and sketches
  • Analyze schedule forecasts to identify issues to assist work execution elements to react timely and develop appropriate solutions.

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 100% of the time.

Salary Range:

$52,600 - $99,400

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate\'s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following
  • Facility maintenance or construction activities.
  • Facilities electrical or circuit breaker maintenance programs.
  • Using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as, Maximo or TRIRIGA.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DOE L-level security clearance.

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Demonstrated experience providing scheduling support for facilities maintenance organizations.
  • Understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configurations, and lockout/tagout policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents including drawings, schematics, and operations manuals.
  • Ability to clearly communicate the status of facility equipment and maintenance and upgrade activities.
  • Knowledge of Sandia\'s facility and operational policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements and environmental impacts affecting facility maintenance and operations.

About Our Team:

The Maintenance Planning Team is responsible for planning and scheduling of all work for the Centralized Maintenance teams in the Infrastructure Operations Center, 4700. This includes creating a complete work package for each job to include a detailed scope of work, materials needed, hazards associated with the work and controls needed to mitigate the hazards. In addition, this group collects, trends, and analyzes predictive maintenance data to determine equipment condition and implementation of condition-based maintenance work. They develop and analyze key maintenance performance indicators including quarterly dashboard, monthly department measures, and quarterly RTBF metrics.
