Summary
The Translational Nanomedicine Research Lab in the Department of Surgery at BCM is looking for a research technician. Our research program aims to rapidly advance functional biomaterials, drug delivery, and bioengineering strategies through multidisciplinary approaches. A major focus of our research group is to develop technologies that can be translated to the clinic to improve patients\' quality of life.
Job Duties
- Performs biomaterials synthesis.
- Conducts mechanical and physicochemical characterization of synthesized biomaterials.
- Participates in group meetings and contributes to research discussions.
- Assists with day-to-day lab management and organization.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s of Sciencein Chemistry/Bioengineering/Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Be highly motivated and should have a strong interest in biomaterials.
