As a successful candidate, you will:
The Clinical Enterprise Integration and Optimization Office is designed to lift the organization to realize its vision by partnering with leaders across the system to drive and support our most important strategic integration and operations optimization priorities. Specifically, the office supports clinical enterprise-related transition and integrated-related activities connected to City of Hope’s evolution into a national health system including program development, large-scale program management, planning and implementation of strategic differentiators, key enablers and operations optimizations, enterprise integration strategy, and performance management of related initiatives.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Clinical Integration, will oversee and lead teams in the successful execution of a portfolio of transition and integration-related initiatives directly impacting the clinical enterprise.

- A proven track record in designing and delivering complex programs with multiple projects and workstreams
- Ability to support an effective Office, which includes management of a team, deployment of tools, and expertise in program management processes
- Ability to drive risk management and mitigation through robust governance and procedures
- Generates input to financial metrics, value realization, and other reports for executive leadership on program performance
- Ability to effectively and clearly articulate program risks, concerns and issues; is able to effectively and objectively escalate portfolio performance issues
- Ability to support the creation of rigorous business cases and project plans for strategic initiatives
- Ability to build credibility and trust with key decision makers
- A track record of managing project teams to deliver business objectives, and milestones on time and on budget
- Ability to identify synergies and interdependencies between portfolio projects and initiatives, and effectively mitigate risks and navigate through interdependencies
- Maintain project assignments, monitor workloads and resources to meet portfolio objectives
- Frequently reassess projects within the portfolio scope to ensure projects are carried out according to established plan and budget
- Measure effectiveness of service offerings and address opportunities and feedback through targeted improvement initiatives
- Ability to provide direction and leadership, serving as a resource to staff on projects
What you'll be doing:
- Oversees delivery of portfolio projects to support business readiness focused on, but not limited to program management
- Effectively balances complex issues, risks, and execution strategies to deliver complex portfolios successfully; Manages and monitors deployment of resources and workloads to meet portfolio objectives and business readiness
- Prepare for, Manage and support integration meetings, system councils, huddles, etc
- Manage system meetings including System Clinical Operations Council, Bi-Weekly Integration & Key Initiatives Meeting and Integration Huddles
- Support special events related to clinical integration including connected to strategic planning, operational planning, system-wide site visits and leadership retreats
- Set pace and direction for activities within overall milestones and scope
- Support initiative meetings
- Support Initiative meetings by shaping agendas and meeting materials, and overseeing PM support of same (notes, action items, status updates, etc.)
- Facilitate QA of initiative planning to pressure test roadmap, milestones and dependencies across workstreams, bringing system knowledge and context
- Identifies the people, process and systems (not IT systems) capabilities required to move initiatives forward; Assesses, selects and tailors the appropriate tools required to meet the needs and objectives for each initiative
- Supports development of critical deliverables for a variety of audiences including Board, Board Committees, Senior Executives and leadership forums
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelors
- 8 years of experience in program management and PMO
- Team leadership experience
Preferred Experience:
- Track record of delivery and expertise in program management and PMO preferred
- Experience of delivering on large scale transformational programs preferred
- Past experience operating as the Project Manager is required
- Consulting firm experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred
- System experience preferred
- Demonstrated history of effective leadership, building and developing high performing teams, establishing performance standards, and transitioning staff through organizational change

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $49.75 - $79.59 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
