City of Hope, Upland provides the community with unparalleled care and innovative cancer treatments closer to home.
The Department of Medical Oncology and Therapeutics Research at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking applications for a full-time clinical faculty with experience in diagnosing and treating both cancer and blood disorders, to join our established practice in the Inland Empire, Southern California.
This position is a rare opportunity to work in a 475+ member integrated, multidisciplinary Medical Group Practice serving an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in Southern California. City of Hope is an expanding institution in both numbers of patients per year as well as infrastructure investment in clinical, academic and research facilities.
HIGHLIGHTS / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- When fully staffed, the Upland practice will include a total of 19 providers
- 5 medical oncologists and 3 APPs
- 7 surgeons (breast, colorectal, gynecologic oncologist, 3 surgical oncologists & urologic oncologist)
- 2 radiation oncologists
- 2 palliative care physicians
- Effort allocation: 95% clinical with potential for involvement in all phases of clinical trials
- Cover one clinic location
PAY & BENEFITS
- Base Salary Range: $400-525k (base pay commensurate with qualified academic rank).
- The salary range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

UPLAND NETWORK SITE
The accessible location of City of Hope’s Upland site puts our patients within easy reach of an urgent care facility and laboratory services, offering convenience when traveling between appointments. City of Hope physicians are on-site to administer radiation oncology services to our patients. Upland patients have the opportunity to participate in City of Hope's groundbreaking clinical trials, involving new drugs and leading-edge treatments before they are widely available.
Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, researchers, nurse practitioners, and other health professionals work together on a wide variety of solid tumors from diagnosis to treatment. We offer patients the latest advances in chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biologic therapy, targeted therapy and other innovative therapies.
