Position Summary
The Nursing Administrative Supervisor is a licensed registered nurse who is responsible for assisting the directors and managers in the operational aspects of the patient care areas. The Nursing Administrative Supervisor facilitates patient flow within the organization, including bed placement. The Nursing Administrative Supervisor coordinates the staffing needs for each shift. This role oversee and supports the hospital during weekends and after hours. This opportunity is for part-time, 12-hour night shifts, and has an 8:00pm start time.

Be a change agent and encourage staff to welcome change. Monitor and control resources (human and material), provide excellent customer service.
Staffing
- Determine Staffing Needs and staff patient care units based on the Patient Classification System (acuity) and patient care needs.
- Works closely with the charge nurse for acuity and staffing shift by shift.
Liaison and Communication
- Collaborate and communicate with all discipline in the organization.
- Collaborate with admitting and clinicians regarding admissions, discharges, and bed placement.
- Customer service with COH patients/families, employees, and medical staff.
- Complete House Report twice daily.
- Facilitate Bed Huddle Meetings for both shifts including other disciplines.
Emergency Response
- Respond to all Codes and Code Drills, including but not limited to Code Blue, Pink, Red, Orange, and Gray.
- Respond to all Disasters, actual or Drill, frequently taking the leadership role.
- Respond to all Rapid Response.
Patient Flow
- Assign Bed Placement according to patient acuity, diagnosis and service line.
- Collaborate with EVS and direct priorities of bed cleaning.
- Coordinate with Managers, directors, charge nurses, administration, and physicians, admitting personnel, and Case Management regarding staffing and bed utilization.
Problem Solving/Quality Risk Management
- Follow up on TIPS, complaints and issues related to patient care, environment, bed capacity and staffing after hours and weekends with follow through
- Involve unit manager for any situation involving risk management.
Leadership
- Support nursing leadership understands the organization mission and vision.
- Embraces the professional practice model and role model behaviors.
- Supports the shared decision-making model.
- Handles situation confidentially when needed.
- Understands the Administrative on Call role and when to call.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing - BSN
- Minimum of three years supervisor experience
- Current California RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) card through American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $54.78 - $91.49 / hour
