Job Description
We invite you to apply for an Administrative Support role with the Sponsored Research Office (SRO) of our Science and Technology Partnerships and Outreach organization. In this role you will process Inter Entity Work Orders (IEWO) or contracts with other national laboratories and communicate with internal budget and finance partners. This work also includes contract administration support in reviewing legal documents for terms and conditions and entering data to our proprietary Proposal Expeditor for Argonne Research and Licensing system (PEARL).
This role will perform a variety of administrative activities and tasks including, general basic accounting and working with spreadsheets, providing data and information to others on functional unit processes and procedures with a high level of accuracy in all functions and a broad working knowledge of departmental and laboratory policies and practice.
Position Requirements
Experience using business process systems and tools including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Knowledge to adapt to new procedures and database technologies.
Organizational skills, ingenuity, creativity, and the ability to solve problems independently.
Experience working on multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and ability to interact with people at all levels both within and outside the laboratory.
Experience working under minimum supervision and meet deadlines with accuracy and completeness.

The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level (SA2 or SA3) depending upon the depth and breadth of relevant knowledge, skills, and experience brought to the position. The requirements for the desired levels are as follows:
SA2 Level: Highschool and 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
SA3 Level: Highschool and 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
