Summary
The Section of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine in the Margaret M. and Albert B. Alkek Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, is seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Lead Clinical Research Coordinator to join our team. This position will coordinate activities of clinical research protocols to include enrolling and educating research participants, monitoring and abiding by protocols, producing relevant reports, training others, and ensuring data quality.

Job Duties
- Coordinate the clinical research activities for ongoing research protocols in the section
- Help manage the financial aspects of the research protocols by utilizing Concur, Jaggaer, and other BCM tools.
- Serve as liaison between Investigators, the Department of Medicine, BCM\'s Sponsored Programs Office, Sponsors, and Sub-recipients.
- Position will work closely with section chief on all ongoing and future research protocols.
- Train other coordinators regarding study processes and procedures.
- Maintain and manage reports to ensure invoices are being submitted and processed timely.
- Monitor research protocols, perform audits, and follow up in coordination with other research staff.
- Responsible for producing reports related to research protocols
- Provides general office support.
- Assist PIs with preparation and submission of required reporting, ie, Progress Reports (RPPR), No Cost Extensions, etc.
- Ensure compliance with all guidelines needed in the processing of grants and awards.
- May collect vital signs and biometric information.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Six years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate\'s degree.
- Clinical Research experience.
- Experience training clinical research coordinators.
