Job Description

Summary

A Research Administration Association position is being recruited for our growing Ophthalmology department. This position will support basic science and clinical research as needed. The primary requirements will be to assist with submitting grant submissions and assisting with invoicing and reconciling for the clinical research projects. This role is approximately 75% post-award and 25% pre-award, and the ideal candidate will have a financial background.

Employees with CRA certification are eligible for certification pay.

This role will be hybrid after training is complete.

Job Duties

  • Prepares grant and subcontract submissions internally in BRAIN and externally through various sponsor sites or according to program instructions
  • Responsible for funding of projects while working with SPO and the Subcontract team as needed.
  • Assists with invoicing of clinical research projects as well as reconciling payments through S4Hana.
  • Responsible for preparation of budgets for grant submission
  • Responsible for financial reports as needed.
  • Responsible for submitting purchasing requests or payments to invoices as needed as well as preparing work orders if required.
  • Prepares outgoing subcontracts and review incoming subcontracts.
  • Prepares employee reimbursements through Concur.
  • Assists with pre-reviewing effort of faculty and staff on research projects.
  • Enters patient stipend payments through the Clincard system.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree. Certified Research Administrator certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience invoicing sponsors.
  • Experience tracking payments.
  • Experience reconciling in S4 HANA.
