What Your Job Will Be Like:
Are you passionate about your work? Do you want to join a dynamic team that solves challenging issues? If so, Organization 03740, Health & Wellbeing Providers, is currently seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join their team!
The selected candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage occupational and/or non-occupational injuries and illnesses, perform pre-placement, occupational surveillance or certification, termination, and fitness for duty physical exams, and contribute to coordination of care with case managers and benefits consultants.
On any given day, one may be called upon to:
- Provide diagnostic assessments, treatment, and referrals as required for occupational and nonoccupational illnesses and injuries
- Perform medical surveillance or certification examinations, interpret diagnostic tests and data, prescribe medications, and make independent health care assessments and referrals
- Research and report on a variety of medical issues, practices, and conditions
- Participate in task forces or provide consultation to management regarding biohazard practices or other processes related to occupational medicine
- Support various clinics at Sandia Medical by acting as a float provider (e.g., working in Sandia\'s acute/urgent care clinic)
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:
$95,400 - $185,700
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate\'s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
- A Master\'s degree in Nursing with a current, active Nurse Practitioner licensure
- 1 year experience with general medicine, medical practice, and/or patient advocacy, including protection of patient health information
- The ability to acquire required applicable licensures
- The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
- 5 years related experience as an advanced clinical practitioner
- Occupational Medicine, Acute Care, and/or urgent care experience
- The ability to conceptualize and communicate to all levels of personnel
- A proven ability in the preparation and presentation of medicine, technical, and non-technical reports
- Knowledge of wellness center and health promotion principles, programs, and practices
- Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
- Experience and demonstrated skills in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting medicine
- The ability to model behaviors that reflect Sandia\'s core values
About Our Team:
Center 03700 is Sandia\'s multi-disciplinary occupational health center that provides occupational medical services, acute care, and walk-in health care services to employees, prevention and wellness services, as well as behavioral health and EAP services to our employee population.
Posting Duration:

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
