Summary
Provides patient care and technical skills in the operation of diagnostic radiographic equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
Job Duties
- Prepares patient for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing the patient\'s needs and providing patient education.
- Operates computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
- Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.
- Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
- Practices safety measures in radiography and Environment of Care.
- Participates in research projects.
- Instructs students and staff on clinical MRI skills.
- Prepares patient for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing the patient\'s needs and providing patient education.
- Operates computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
- This position will be responsible for covering three satellite locations for radiological needs at San Felipe, and River Oaks.
- Will be responsible to cover McNair x-ray as needed.
- Be be responsible for handling C-ARM.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- No experience required.
- Certification and Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Licensure as a Medical Radiological Technologistor Limited Medical Radiological Technologistby the Texas Medical Board (TMB).

- Orthopedic experience.
