Summary
Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Allergy & Immunology at Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join the Food Allergy Research Program (FAP) as a Research Coordinator. The ideal candidate can work independently and in a team environment with a strong sense of professionalism.
Job Duties
- Interviews, screens, and recruits patients for various Food Allergy studies.
- Educates participants and legal guardians on study processes and procedures.
- Collects patient information and enters into various databases.
- May perform venipuncture, EKGs, and obtain vital signs.
- May collect, process, and maintain paperwork and biological samples.
- Schedules participants for tests and procedures.
- Retrieves and submits test results to appropriate parties.
- Corresponds with patients/legal guardians throughout study participation.
- Orders supplies and equipment.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a Basic Science.
- Preferred, not required,current license as a Registered Nurse by the State of Texas Board of Nursing.
- EPIC experience.
- Clinical trial experience.
- Microsoft Excel experience.
- Database entry experience.
