Tuesday marks the start of Women’s History Month, a time to commemorate and celebrate the vital role of women in American history.
It’s a great time to learn more about the powerful women who came before us: Especially in the field of science.
Now more than ever, we see STEM programs and opportunities for girls in the areas of science and math. But it wasn’t always like this. Here’s an interesting piece all about how Women’s History Month came to be, and why the U.S. has been celebrating (and making sure women get their due!) since the 1980s.
